So, is the NS for fun or for building the characters ? Think twice, don't waste the tax payers' money.
Do it as a real NS but not three months ? What have the uniform bodies in the school do ?

NS council to decide whether to exempt mum of three
KUALA LUMPUR: A young mother who has dodged national service training twice will know if she can be exempted from future stints when the NS Training Department makes its decision at the next council meeting.
Cheng Seok Teng, 20, from Mambau, Negri Sembilan, had said that her eight-month-old baby needed her attention and she, therefore, had to skip training again.
She also has two other children aged five and three to care for. Cheng married a man 13 years her senior when she was only 14.
She was first called for NS training in 2004, but could not make it for the first or second series of training that year.
The department had sent her its latest notice to report for the three-month training on June 25.
She recently brought her problem to state NS advisory board member Datuk Lee Yuen Fong, telling him that as a full-time housewife with three children she just could not go for NS training.
NS training council chairman Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye has reiterated that it is an offence under the NS Training Act 2003 for those selected to stay away from the sessions.
However, he added, they could ask for deferment if their reasons are valid and unusual, such as in Cheng’s case.
He said the council would hear her appeal at its upcoming meeting but, in the meantime, he advised her to fill up the NS’ official request form for deferment.
Cheng can get more details by calling 03-2687 3450 or 03-2687 3453.
