Will ban the best policy for the development

Of late, many cases happen in reporting the case and of course twisted reports. Will ban is the best way to teach the media a lesson ?

Think twice, the underground media is worst than that.

Lim Guan Eng, do consider to sue the paper and the money can use it for the poor. Why not, be your guest and twist the report. Take them to court. The rakyat will be riches.

GEORGE TOWN: DAP chairman Karpal Singh says he will talk to Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng today about Lim’s decision to ban certain newspapers from covering his press conferences and those of the other state executive councillors.
“Lim should reconsider his decision, particularly on banning the New Straits Times. We believe in the freedom of the press as it looks at both the right and wrong side of the administration of the government,” he said.
Karpal Singh said Lim was a reasonable man and would surely reconsider the decision on lifting the ban officially.
He said MPs and assemblymen must be prepared to accept criticisms that might hurt.
Asked if the ban should also be lifted on Utusan Malaysia, he said the ban on it should be reviewed, although the daily has been harsh and that its criticism was not constructive.
He also said the three by-elections would be the barometer of whether Umno president Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his deputy Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin were acceptable as Barisan Nasional leaders to the people.

I tend to agreee with YB Mr Karpal Singh that YB Sdr Lim Guan Eng to consider lifting the ban on certain news media. Since we are always at the forefront fighting for press freedom why then must we muzzle it? Yes, it could be damaging sometimes but there are alternatives. By all means sue the media if they are incorrigible. As someone suggested the revenue could be channeled towards the development of the state.

By the way, an option left is to boycott the said media. Launch a campaign to call for the boycott.
