ASEAN should go Esperanto

It is a good thing to know that the ASEAN has a excellent vision in the administration. Look at the slogan it hangs on the site of ASEAN ORG

One Vision
One Identity
One Community

May i add one more line:

One Language

But, after decades of formation, the organisation is still not yet come to realise the ONE.

For a community to be ONE, we need to have a common language but alas, the organisation is still using English as the main communication tool.

Among the 10 member countries, only 3 countries were colonised by British and English is still the major tool in Sinagpore and Brunei.

The other 8 countries are using their own respective language for example Malaysia is using Bahasa Melayu in the government sector.

With the past colonial rulers in ASEAN , Dutch, Portuguese,British, why choose English to be the common language when we have a neutral language which is called ESPERANTO.

Looking at the page of the ASEAN ORG, you can find toruism is one of the major items in it. The people in ASEAN would have to learn English in order to travel. Why not learn Esperanto to travel.

My earliest post on South Africa should go Esperanto to save the problems in future. Now it is time for us to look at our very own associaiton.

Can anyone tell the ASEAN org should have slowly fade out the English and adopt Esperanto?

At the least now should have Esperanto on the page. I believe there are many people in Asean region know Esperanto language but are not being fully taped for the talent.

Now, ASEAN org should seriously consider using Esperanto language as a part of the communication language.

We don't hurt anybody by using Esperanto language.

I completely agree. The domination of a language is the domination by a country

It is easy said than done. On theory yes, but in reality is impossible.

Let's us be fair to the poeple in ASEAN and just wondering the Esperanto speakers could provide what the Esperanto language do in their life?

Can they use it for further studies?

Can they use it for trade and administration?

The whole lists go down.

A quick goggle show not even more than 5 universities in the world is conducting the Esperanto course, most of them are as elective subject.

It is the responisblity of the Esperantonists to set up universities, make the language in the trade and administration before suggesting to this organisation to change.

Till, now, any time you can google and see not much progress of Esperanto language.

What has gone wrong with it?

In reply to "anonymous" I've just googled Esperanto and received 65 million hits. Please also see http://www.esperanto.net

Dear Brian Barker

It is not the hit of the google. It is the livelihood of the people who are using the Esperanto is more pertinent.

English for example, they can use it in the trade, universities etc.

But till now, there is not even a univerisity can be fully conducted in Esperanto language.

If you are from ASEAN, welcome to set up the university and twin with AIS, http://www.ais-sanmarino.org If you are not, plese keep your time out of this blog, it serves you nothing.

How much that you can invest ? Go to IKEF http://www.ikef.org

Don't do the quick search, you need more time to search. More opposing articles are on the net than the proposing articles.

Read my blogspot on Berlajar Bahasa Esperanto to see more info.
