Tourism Department,are they sleeping?

Just wondering the Minister of Toursim, Dr Ng did watch the big budgetted film--Anna and the King, acted by Chow Yuen Fatt.

They came to Malaysia to film it. Many places in Malaysia were picked as locations.

But, these places are not being used as the tourists spot. Many, as local may feel the place is nothing after the set was abandoned.

However, some set is not abled to move away like the train station.

Well, maybe our Minister of Tourism is too busy contesting in the party election and no time to tour the Ipoh and Penang areas.

Most of the famous film locations in China are being promoted as the tourists spots even the Asian Games village. But in Malaysia, all are left just as waste.

If the tourism department can place a signboard with the sign stated:

This is the location of Anna and the King was filmed.

This would attract the people, tourists, local and international to take the photo for the memoir in the future. They can even provide some costume of the set for rental. This would provide some employments for the locals.

So, what the tourism board, kementerian pelancungan doing now??
