Malaysians are spending on learning English language ?
Well, China spent more than 18.9 billion RMB per year.
If the system is just, as Dr GRIN'sreport said, the EU can save more than A more just system would save the EU at least € 25 billion annually!
Thus, it is time to consider that we are feeding the orang putih, the British or they are feeding us. They can have good life, afternoon tea, less money spending on learning foreign languages and more money for the researches in the university etc.
Now, it is time to consider the learning of English should be compulsory or elective.
Well, first must kick the MUET out ofthe system. They are killing many talents, especially those from the rural areas and kampung where there is insufficient of qualified English language teachers.
I think the hardest hit would be from the east coast children, especially Kelantan, Terenganu and Pahang.
