Once upon a time the education minister, Dr Maszlee urged the commercial hotels to let the pupils to learn swiming after reading the drowning of pupil.
Unfortunately, the well fed minister did not know that maintaing the swimming pools need a lot of money. Secondly, the swimming pools in the hotel are mainly for soaking but not for swimming. It is very certained that Dr Maszlee did not step into the swimming pool.

To plan the education system to include the swimming lesson in the curriculum is building more half Olympic size swimming pools in all districts in Malaysia. You do not need the international standard swimming pools in all places.
