Now, there are about 10 swimming pools in Penang state, with only a few state government administering, even the government built the swimming pool, still contracted to private companies to manage the pool. It is funny that the government could not manage this small project but the private sector can do it well and profited from it. It is something wrong with the state administration.

The Seberang Perai has 2 Olympic size and a half Olympic size. Therefore, the 40 ADUNS should look into their respective areas to see the construction of half Olympic size swimming pools to train more national swimmers and the most important is the health of the people. If you had read our previous articles, you should know that swimming is the best form of exercise. Not to forget swimming can provide many forms of therapy for disable persons.
On the Penang Island, it is almost sufficient for the quota for the one district one swimming pool concept. It is the Seberang Perai ( Seberang Prai) needed to be attended.
Currently there are two Olympic size in Seberang Prai which are not fully and well manage for the benefits of swimming. It is said that there is a half Olympic size in Kampung Benggali. The ADUNs should go and have a look.
