#Swimming should be made compulsory in school curriculum

The ex minister of education of Malaysia said in an interview, swimming should be made compulsory in schools.

This is a good idea as we have presented  many information on swimming and urged the government to build more half Olympic size swimming pools with sponsor assistance.

But what would be the situation in the rural areas, where hills are more than rivers. This should be consider to use the word, compulsory, instead of election.

Unfortunately, Dr Maszlee did not know our neighbour, Singapore has made swimming a compulsory subject in primary schools. Of course, Singapore is a island with more flat lands. There have 50 swimming pools in the island. It is not only in the Europe they made swimming a compulsory, Singapore has made it decades ago.

We could come up with a more detail programme if Pakatan Harapan were able to win the General Election 15th. Talking it here is a waste of time, what we hope, it is Penang state should begin with it.

Many do not think about the flood and the life saving. Penang has all the resources, if the politicians of PH were able, the half Olympic size swimming pools could be built in 2023 in all constituencies.

Penang state needs only to build another 29 half Olympic size swimming pools. They should begin from the rural areas like the Nibong Tebal in the Seberan Perai up to the Bertam in Kepala Batas and Macang Bubuk near Kulim.

Learning swimming is nothing much a problem, including the life safer technique. Penang has the live saving association. See how the resources there are for the residents of Penang.
