Yes, old thinking is banking on the votes from the government servants.
Do you think the government servants vote the government of the day or they use their political like to vote ? Of course, the change of Barisan Nasional (BN) to Pakatan Harapan (PH) is a clear indication, NO.
We do not have to explain more just take the state of Kelantan, how many decades are under the religious party, PAS ? Is there government servant in the state ?
Therefore, don't think your concern for the government servants would bring in the change of the state election or general election.

Human beings work for contribution to the community. This is the basic psychology. Only the weak and lazy thinking people would think pension scheme is good.
One story from Kopi Tiam is like this:
One high rank government officer retired. He was very happy. He did not have to sit in the office waiting to clock out. He told the friends in the coffee shop that he wanted to live until 100 years old. He retired at 60 years and 40 years of getting the pension. His life was comfortable with the pension.
Not even five years of retiring life he enjoyed, he passed away with heart attack. His wife would get the pension but she was also passed away with heart attack.
Here you can do your analysis why Malays are so interested in government job. One family may have 2/3 members are in the government sectors waiting to clock out daily.
With the technology advancement, does Malaysia need more government servants? They are not servants, they are rats in the coffers eating away the taxpayers money.
Do you want to do a petition to government to do away the pension scheme like Dr M did once in the past.
Is Kerajaan Perpaduan brave to change the system in Malaysia?
