Swimming : how to use half Olympic size #SwimmingPool in Penang

 


Penang state government could produce more competitive swimmers if the administration and ADUN know swimming.

We have talked about how to build FREE swimming pools in the 29 DUNs in Penang states but the words fall into the deaf years.

What Pluto said is right that :

Pluto was once recorded as saying, “a man who didn't know how to swim [is] uneducated.” 

 

Putting the words of Pluto aside, now we talk about how to use the half Olympic pools. Here are the possible benefits for the people for the residents in Penang:

1. provide more training places for swimmers, endurance

2. provide places for aqua therapy for the people, asthsma , knee injury, spinal code injury etc , read here  https://malaysiakusayang.blogspot.com/2022/01/how-penang-state-can-run-half-olympics.html

3. provide small competition for the young swimmers, aged 5-9 years old. The junior swimmer competition is for aged 10 years old and above,thus the half Olympic size just be the good starting point for the very young junior to have the experiences. 

4. organising the short course competition locally, look at the video of the international events.

5. promoting Malaysia to the world for the swimming events and cash in more money for Penang state.

6. compete with Singapore to gain the top place in South East Asia (SEA) Games swimming events. Singapore has reigned the SEA Games for 20 times in 40 years of the SEA history.

7. provide places for young people to go for health benefits, reduce getting illness when growing old. By doing so, reduce the medical care fees for Malaysia. 

8. all sports men and women needed to go for a swim at least two times a week. The half Olympic size swimming is very much for endurance training as we have said above No 1. Doing land endurance by the gym is insufficient for the good stamina. 

9. reduce the vice for the young people, as after a thousand meters  of swimming, they would have to be home for a good night sleep.
