What is the elite school for?
Do we need to have matriculation schools ?
Does that one year or 9 month long study cost your more than having mental health problem in the rest of your life ?
Malaysia education system is very backward. We do not like to talk about the matriculation programme in Singapore and the mental health problem in Singapore.
The pressure is for both, the pupil and the parents and even the family. Did anyone from the ministry of health and education conducted that kind of social damage in Singapore? Yes, they did but they prefer to prescript more medicine to the mental problem people but not look into the cause of it, take the bull by the horn.
Malaysia education should be made into this way as we have mentioned it long time ago.
6 years primary
3 years lower secondary
3 years upper secondary
After 3 years lower secondary level, pupil can choose to go for vocational training or other job apprentice work
If the pupils wanted to go for higher academic studies, like colleges or universities, they continue the 3 years upper secondary level. All would have the one year extra compare to the current 5 years to take SPM and 2 years to take STPM system.
More people should be encourage to study the external universities instead wasting time to sit in the lecture hall and doing nothing.
