The bus from Nibong Tebal, No 801 and 802 should be ended in the Simpang Ampat KTM station. The communiter train is running from Ipoh to Butterworth and stops in Simpang Ampat train station. All passengers of Rapid Penang either can the train to Bukit Mertajam or Butterworth as they wish.
By altering the time table and cooperation between the two companies, the passengers can choose to take the train or bus to their final destionation.
The return trip can be taking the train either from Butterworth or BM to Simpang Ampat station and proceed to the Rapid Penang bus services. In fact, the Rapid Penang bus can run only ONE bus to the Simpang Ampat train station with less cost as now, two busese are running on the same route from Nibong Tebal to Bukit Tengah, by there seperate to Bukit Mertajam or Penang Sentral.
