Dear Mr Chan, you love Chinese language so much. Do you know your MCA project of UTAR Chinese faculty did not treat the applicants for the Chinese masters degree course well? Besides, the recruitment process is also horrifying ? Look at the teaching faculty, are there any top grade professors ?
To be frank, my freinds were badly treated in Utar. Check on it.Utar is to help to nurture the talents in Malaysia but the talents are badly treated. Would you stay in Malaysia when your talents are wasted in the drain?
Mr Chan, don't try to cash in your political mileage by highlighting the minute items. Look no further but the UTAR.

Kong Choy satisfied with UM’s explanation
PUTRAJAYA: Transport Minister Datuk Seri Chan Kong Choy is satisfied with the explanation given by Universiti Malaya (UM) officials on the issue involving the recognition of degrees.
Chan said he met with Arts and Social Science Faculty dean Prof Dr Mohammad Raduan Mohd Ariff and department head Assoc Prof Dr Soo Khin Wah yesterday.
“I am quite satisfied with the explanation given, as well as their briefing on the recruitment of Chinese Studies lecturers,” he told reporters after signing a memorandum of understanding on maritime cooperation with the Chinese Communications Minister, Li Shenglin, at his office here yesterday.
“They also told me that on dissertations being written in languages other than Bahasa Malaysia and English, the university will approve the application if the reasons are valid.”
SEALED: Chan shaking hands with Li at his ministry after signing the MoU on maritime cooperation Friday. On Thursday, UM vice-chancellor Datuk Rafiah Salim said a preliminary investigation had found that Dr Soo allegedly made a mistake when he told Chan earlier that UM did not recognise first degrees from certain universities.
Chan, who chairs the UM Chinese Studies graduates' association (Pejati) had taken a swipe at his alma mater for not keeping up with times and for being impractical, adding that its present requisites for academicians were obsolete.
The deputy MCA president had asked which university could beat Peking University, Tsing Hua University and Taiwan University when it came to Chinese Studies.
Chan said he now considered the matter resolved.
“But I will still follow up on the issue. Pejati will also be making arrangements to meet the VC to further discuss how we can further improve Chinese Studies in UM,” he said.
