It was a hot day in Kuala Lumpur center. The people were rushing in and out of the Puduraya Bus station. There were monks dress in Chinese robe and the long pants were the normal ones, one with dark and the other was brown. They looked nothing different from the local Chinese ethnic but they were something wrong as my friends sensed out. They begged in the afternoon. As far as the Malaysian Buddhist Association pointed out that there is no begging on the streets. But the two 20 + monks holding a pot full of ringgit currency.
What was hilarious that they asked from the Malays and Indians as they did not able to identify the races. Of coruse, they walked fast and if no one put the wallet out they would just wisked by.
This scene is repectedly in many parts in the country, right from Perlis to Johor. It is espcially troubling the two nuns self-professed from Ipoh selling the photos of buddha at RM5.
Well, it is strongly suspected that this is the bogus monks and nuns from China. They came in as a tourist and would go to Thailand, Cambodia and other ASEAN countries to earn a living by tarnishing the image of buddisim.
It is strongly urged the Malaysian Buddhist Association should act fast before it is out of control.
More and more of these Chinese monks from China are cheating the poor in the village. For those empat ekor punters, they deserve the cheat. But the Buddhism will soon be bad listed.
What the MBA should is putting more adverts in the local newspapers to teach the readers and people to differentia the true Malaysian monks and the fake Chinese monks.
Nip in the bud is the advice for the MBA.
