Yes, Datuk Shahidan, you are right to pick the non-smokers for the candidates for the coming election.I am ceratin that the opposition cannot do it with this policy. Unfortunately i am not in your areas, otherwise, the vote will go to the self discipline candidate of your party.

Perlis BN picks smoke-free candidates
KANGAR: Only healthy non-smokers are on the list of potential Barisan Nasional candidates for Perlis, said Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim.
He said Home Affairs minister Datuk Seri Mohd Radzi Sheikh Ahmad and Environmental and Natural Resources minister Datuk Seri Azmi Khalid were in the list as both were non-smokers.
Speaking to reporters here yesterday, he said he has submitted the list to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
There are 45 names on the list – three potential candidates for each of the 15 state seats and three parliamentary seats.
“The candidates are from all levels of leadership including the Youth and Wanita wings and Puteri Umno. There are old and new faces, it is up to the Prime Minister to decide,” Shahidan said.
Speculation is that Shahidan would be nominated once again to contest the Tambun Tulang state seat because of his strong grassroots support. He has won the seat three times
