OK, now the Tenaga Nasional Berhad ( Natioanal Electricity Board) is going to rise 20% of charges. Oh, the petrol quake has gotten into the profit. What about the minimum charges of RM 3 per month ?
There are many houses who still use less than RM3 a month. So, not possible, as the TNB would said, fine, there are many household who are not residing in their own houses but work outside the area. They still go back to their houses once a week or a month or what ever time.
Therefore, now the TNB can publish the list of below RM3 profit that they made over the years.For example, my neighbour has not been actively using the house for more than 7 years, sometimes, the she did not return for months as she has to be in the overseas office.But, she still has to pay the RM3 monthly.
These RM3 is a net profit for the TNB.
So, TNB abolish your minimum charges of RM per household and your raise of 20% is fair to all. This is also applied to water bill. Why pay more when you use less ?
