There created a group of people called BUMIPUTRA. However, when it comes to the $$$$$ talk, this group of BUMIPUTRA is almost entirely belonging to the race called Malay or Melayu.
The New Economy Policy started long time ago. It should help the Malay, who is under the 'threat' of economy. But the real bumiputra, the orang asli is not being helped by the NEP.
The bumiputra, comprised the Ibans and Kadzans etc in the East Malaysia are not being helped either.
Now, the NEM=New Economy Model, is soon to be tabled.
What is the different of NEP and NEM? Oh, yea, the P change to M. Does this M silently represent Melayu ?
Nope, they said. It is going to be a better one for all races in Malaysia--The land of glory.
Well, how it would be fair to 214 races in Malaysia is a BIG question for the PM and his PR team.
For a common folk on the street, we see many Malays and other races working, sweating in the hot sun, in the food stalls and other places. Are these people benefited from the NEP ?
It is hoped that the orang asli and other bumiputra could come up and tell the world that they are facing problems.
