I met a gentleman who has polio since young and was placed in the sekolah khas (school of special education ). He was denied the opportunity to sit for SPM last year. Now he has nothing to show he has gone through the 12 years education besides the school leaving certificate. He is good at Maths because he got a volunteer tutoring him. He is confident to get an A for the subject but the school heads denied him the chance for not registering him for the SPM.
Another lady told me the same fact that the head of her school also denied her the chance of sitting for UPSR more than a decade ago.
Oh, ya, the prestige of the passing rate is more important than giving the kids a chance to prove the ability.
How many pupils of disable are being deny the chance to sit for the test? Will someone do a survey of this?
I am very sick of Malaysian education system.
