Malaysia data should be corrected

Just wondering how much you can approve this Time report:

Malaysia is that rare country with an unequivocal national narrative. It goes
something like this: Malaysia's 28 million people, comprising mainly Malays,
Chinese and Indians, make up a moderate and modern emerging democracy
. Unlike
members of other multiethnic countries, they respect one another's beliefs and
values and share a commitment to achieving prosperity. The official religion is
Islam, but other faiths are freely allowed and celebrated. This is one
harmonious place.

When can the correct stastic be corrected like 3 major races, is Indian population larger than the East Malaysia Iban or Kadzan dusun ? With more Indian muslim claiming themselves as Malays, the Malay population surely is a raise but on the other hand, the indian community is less, how they could maintain as the 3 major ones ?

Religion freedom. Yes, on paper. But the data during the last ten years, you can search it on the net.
