Is Nobel Prize tinted with political influence?

The 2012 Nobel Prize announcement came as a shock to many. Besides those non controversy items, the biggest commented prize is the Peace Prize.

The prize money will not have able to solve the European money crisis despite some commentors jokingly thanked the committee of the Nobel.

Well, with the rate of the democarcy in Malaysia, someone even hope to see the  literature prize will be awarded to a Malaysian writer.

Yes, certainly it will as long as the mouths of Malaysians are gagged and all the publications must let the KDN approved to talk good about the government. That would be the time that Malaysian writer can contest for the prize, not only literature but also peace prizes.

It is the committee knows the pressure where it comes in but if you search the wilkipedia, you can see the commentary and the controversial issues occuring times and times again.

The Obama got the peace prize, but he went to the war.

The Red Cross did nothing, serving for the rescue in the war places and get the Peace Prize.

The Ang Sang Shu Kii was not released neither the Chinese dissent is released.

Now you can see, at times, the Nobel Prize is not a independent body which is not influenced by the political supporters.
