Then, the government here would blame the students and the parents would blame the children for not studying hard enough.
Come on, those officers and research who are sitting in the air-conditioned office. Let me put you to study Thai or Vietnam language in your office. How far and how much can you progress without the communication practices.
Now think twice lah, those children in the rural areas like Kelantan, Trengganu, Pahang, Sarawak and Sabah, how could they use English? They don't even see an English man in a decade.
Besides, is the TESL teacher suffice in this rural area? If so, we don't have to consider recruiting teachers of English from India.

I just like to tell him/her that don't just follow the crowd, in Malaysia we have too many clowns, from the top politicians, government officers to the kopitiam time-passers.
They know nothing but just keep saying English is the internet language, it has passed the through the head without filtering, especially the local media journalists, without proper knowledge and verification and splash in the big front page.
Now, if Malayians are only setiing the mind in the colonial past, you have not way to go, just only the top 10 % of the people would control the rest of the people.
