Why the government in Malaysia cannot manage well swimming pool ?

There are not many swimming pools in Malaysia.

Among the few, the management of swimming by the government department, normally is under the city hall, bandaran.

Perhaps, it is our education system that does not ask the pupils to think instead of root memory.

Here are few suggestions to Penang municipal council and Perak Municipal council on the opening session for swimmers. I do not go into the fee structure, Would touch on that later.

Now, the swimming pools in Penang state left only ONE which is administered by the MBSP, heard the Seberang Jaya pool would be contracted out like the Relau pool to private sector after the renovation.

The opening session of MBSP swimming pool in Jalan Betek.

Monday to Thursday : 8.00am to 1pm. /4.00pm to 8.00pm

Friday is closed

Saturday and Sunday is back as usual of the Monday time table.

On the other hand, the Ipoh swimming pool has the opening session as follow:

Tuesday to Sunday :

Morning session : 8.00am - 11.am

Afternoon session : 1.00pm - 4.00pm

Evening session : 5.00pm - 8.00 pm

The two pools can learn from each other in management system. The Ipoh swimming can close on Friday, instead of to alter the afternoon opening session. Ipoh pool closes on Friday or Monday does not affect the users.

On the other hand, the Betek swimming pool can alter the opening session like the Ipoh swimming pool, which is in 3 session. This would facilitate the users better.

The Betek pool can try out on Saturday and Sunday session to see the response of the users.

Swimming is the best form of exercise.
