As the earlier post has outlined the benefits for the senior citizens to have free Mutiara pass.
Here is not very much to repeat that but is to suggest to Penang government to take over the project if Rapid Penang refuses to provide free Mutiara pass to senior citizens in Penang state.
What to repeat here is the free Mutiara pass is not a waste of money but let the government has better residents with better health and contribute to social work even they are in the sun set stage.
Penang government has to be ready to negotiate with the Rapid Penang main company for the project. At the same time, call out the data, how many senior citizens are using the Mutiara pass. If you were Penang resident, you knew well that most residents in Penang has cars or motorcycle thus causing the big traffic jam daily.
In short, the residents of Penang state are not patient,they are bad time planners even with the Rapid Penang application providing time table for each route.
Let us forget those few privilege people who owns few vehicles at home to suffering paying road tax etc yearly or monthly.
It is hard to wake up those pretend to sleep. They prefer to pay money to go to gym for the walk but not kissing the sun to get the Vitamin D and free health benefit.
Now, should it be 5000 steps, 7000 steps or 10,000 steps ? Walking up the bus is more than 10 steps. How many steps from home to the nearest bus stop is another way to keep them healthy.
Here depends on the ADUNs in Penang state to show their knowledge and bringing the senior citizens to a higher level than other states.
