No pension scheme for Penang state public servants

There are two kinds of public servants in Malaysia.

The category is divided into : federal and state. The salary of federal grade would be pay by the federal government. The salary for the state public servants is paid by the state government.

Once Dr M abolished the system of pension instead directed all government servants to EPF. Of course, he met with lots of criticism.

In fact, this is a good scheme. Only those with less creativity would sit in the office until retirement age and again sit at home until the day s/he is called to the Lord.

They do not dare to leave the post no matter how unhappy they are. They would lose the pension if he dared to walk out of the office.

Penang government should implement this system to all new recruits. No more pension scheme and they can choose to join the private sector any time they want. In short, they leave the government sector even they have worked for 4 to 5 years.

This would encourage more creative people to take up challenges. At the same time to tell the weaker ones, your old age is less if you do not know how to manage your financial.

There was a news gossip about a Malay lady was forced to marry a government servant by the parents because public servant is more secure even if the husband died, she still could get the pension.

All people are put into the equal footing for learning how to manage the fund of his/her own. Besides, the government would save more money to feed another people who is not working at all till the last day of her life.

Gone is the old system of Britain. In fact, is should be called kuli kerajaan bukan kakitangan kerajaan.
