Dyslexia is the major problem in Malaysia.
Many parents and of course the teachers are not aware of the word dyslexia.
Parents view dyslexia as a shameful disable.
The Ministry of Education should immediately conduct the mental check in all primary schools in Malaysia.
In the USA, ten persons one has dyslexia. In Japan, 20 persons has one dyslexia.
Why Malaysia has no talents?
Putting aside for the inequality of opportunity and LGBT issue that pushing Malaysians to migrate to other countries, dyslexia is another problem for the pupils to fair well in the academic performance.
All primary schools should be arranged with the diagnostic test and data should be kept to see how many percentage of people are having dyslexia problem.
Dyslexia is not a disease can be spread, it is the neuro vision problem. Nothing wrong with the children. Give them longer time to sit for the test, thus they can find out the errors in spelling, grammar structure. The testing venue should be rearrange for them as the children need more time for the testing, for example, one hour test for the normal pupils, two hours should be allocated for them. Thus the interruption of the movement of pupils in the same school.
There are many categories of dyslexia, from mild to serious one, for example, making a few spelling mistakes.
Many world famous people were and are dyslexia.
