Maternity leave for female teachers and nurses

 

 

Teachers and nurses are two very dynamic profession. 

They are trained for several years. 

Therefore, the new concept for these two profession should be in the new system.

Teachers and nurses can take leave as long as they like to stay home to cater for the sons and daughters. The returning to the profession should be allowed. 

However, the salary one has before the leave should be taken into consideration. For example, if A were in grade 6 when she started to take leave, when she intended to return to the profession, her salary scale began at grade 6. What her time done at home is for the family.

There are male teachers and male nurses these days. They are allowed to take leave too if he were wanting to do the similar family care taker.

The other parts of the system are :

* paying for the teacher training

* paying for the nursing training

* teacher training should begin at post graduate level, post graduate diploma. Those who graduated from the general degree and intended to going to teaching as a career can proceed with next level of teacher training, specialising in special subjects.

In short, they are not bound by the contract after the graduation. By doing so, we can have people who really love teaching and nursing as careers.  

We have teachers and nurses who are not happy with the career but it is because of the pension scheme makes them stay on. When these grumpy teachers and nurses are not going out, the talented teachers and nurses cannot come in.

As we have said that, pension scheme kills the talents.
