How to overcome public sector on corruption

To prevent corruption in the government sector, transparencyopen data is important.

Bangkok deputy governor,Sanon Wangsrangboon said that open data is the way to counter the corruption.

We have suggested to the government in Malaysia long ago that each ministry should have a website reporting for the monthly expenditure. The expenses should be transparency, even buying a 5 sen item should also be recorded and put on the ledger online. All citizens, if the government did not want the foreigners to access the data, can make the membership system. Only registered members can access to the data.

Open tender etc from the government agencies are important but the agency expenses are also important. People can know the money in and out of the ministry. Malaysia has occurred a pen can cost RM5.

It is too late to let the auditing department to check it at the end of the year. Updating is for the previous month should be ready for inspection of people on the second half month, that is, the accounting should be ready by the 16 June for the month of May.

We hope the each ministry can have it done on the second half of the year in 2023. The account department should prepare the account up to date but not swiping the mobile phones in the office.

Every cent should be saved before it is too late.
