Transport : Rapid Penang should try the Bus Lane for route 801 (1)

How a good planing management in transport company is important to the passengers and the company too.

Here we are going to suggest to Rapid Penang, after the feed back from readers doing survey, in fact, this should be done by the Rapid Penang staff, namely, the drivers.

There are the stages for the Rapid Penang management to consider to make bus lane (lorong bas) into their plan for the route NO 802, which is from Hub Nibong Tebal to Penang Sentral.

The suggestion is here :

* there are 4 routes of buses stop at the Mega Mall bus station, 701,703,801 and CT13, of which 801 can use the highway back to Penang Sentral.

* 801 should use the Tol Plaza Perai Lama instead of going through the same route as the 701 and 703.

*there are very few passengers from Nibong Tebal, 801 going to SMK Convent bus station, if there were passengers going that route, they can change at the Mega Mall bus station, either take 701 or 703.

*going through Tol Plaza Perai Lama will save at least 10 minutes of journey for the passenger in the non traffic jam period. If it were in the traffic jam period, it would take more than 20 minutes. This can get the bus drivers to more accurate calculation as they are driving it in at least 18 hours.

Reminding the change : 801 bus should not using the old route to SMK Convent but use the Tol Plaza Perai Lama both ways. from Penang Sentral and going to Penang Sentral.

This change will bring in new perspective and the bus lane which we would suggest for bus No 801 later.

We would like to suggest to the Rapid Penang management staff to look for the overhead pedestrian bridge to do the bus lane stopping point as the old way does not create the ideal way for the right side door of Rapid Bus Transit System as the video showed.

Look out the part two of our article, we are waiting for the readers to send in the information.
