Johor can implement empty home tax immediately

 

 

It is wise to implement the empty home tax like Canada, Japan,Australia and soon Taiwan in Johor. 

The tax from the empty houses, can be used in the state of Johor. The state do not have to wait for green light from federal government. In Canada, Australia and even Japan are on the local governments.

By the end of this year, Johor would have some millions of taxes from the empty home tax implementation. 

Look at the old report in 2021:

 JOHOR BAHRU: More than 70,000 houses in Johor Bahru are vacant, for being unsold, unoccupied or abandoned, says menteri besar Hasni Mohammad.

Just Johor Baru alone but not the whole Johor state. It could over 100,000 units. How much could that be in the Johor state, do not have to depend on the federal government. 

 

 

 Pemangku Sultan Johor Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim menggesa sistem persekutuan diubah kerana mendakwa Johor bukan milik Malaysia tetapi adalah rakan kongsi. Tunku Ismail berharap kerajaan dapat mengembalikan sekurang-kurangnya 20-30% daripada hasil negeri kembali ke Johor. Tegas baginda, pada ketika ini semua hasil cukai negeri diserahkan kepada kerajaan persekutuan.
