It was nothing wrong that Dr Mahathir wanted to participate in the Independence Day celebration.
Would he be ushered in to the important guest seat?
By protocol, the ex prime minister is not in the list.
“Based on the practice since 2018, invitations to the National Day celebration are not automatically extended to former prime ministers,” he said in a statement.
Why Dr M was so interested to be seen in the public? In fact, he should not taken the studies of medicine. He should be in the political science course. Perhaps, that time, the University Malaya has limited courses.
But, as an experienced politicians, he should know the protocol well. Perhaps, he wants people to remember him before the day comes for a forever farewell.
Nothing much to say about him. To let go is not easy for people and some are even hard to let go.

Mahathir had called on Payung Besar Melayu to pit Malays against others. Mahathir had denied that Malaysia is a Multicultural nation. Mahathir seems to seek division in the country and therefore, should he be allowed to celebrate our ideas of Merdeka and Malaysia as a nation with people respecting, helping and accepting one another's race, faith and culture?
