It is good to change the education system in Malaysia.
MUDA came out with the needs-based education, of course, this still can not solve the problem of the Malay economy problem, this is what Dr M likes very much to see and he can use the figures (disadvantages) to say Malay is a financially poor community.
The MRSM should be disbanded as there is not much help to produce caliber Malay professional from the financially poor community. Neither it helps for the so called Bumiputra, orang asli and orang asal.
First, the change in the academy year, non of the academicians talk about it, only we are yelling on top of our voices but to no avail. Why there is a need to have long holidays in December in Malaysia ? Read the suggestion below:

The five years secondary school system should be changed 4 years and 2 years Form Six. For those who do not like to take academic subjects, they can opt for professional training, or vocational training and shorter time to join the work force.
Besides, the school curriculum should have elective and compulsory subjects. Not because Malaysia is lacking scientists, all pupils must take science subjects, they could come back decades later if they were interested in sciences in the weekend classes or evening courses. That time the studies is drive by love but not by force.
Needs-based system still cannot solve the problem, it should be having weekend classes for those who intend to do vocational training even though they do not finishing primary schools. We should encourage more people to return to learning more often than only once. Thus, pupils and people have more time to read. Reading habits should be cultivated in the young at home.
No doubts, we would like to applause MUDA team for the voices it but this is still remain in the talks but no action from the Kerajaan Perpaduan. You can see it times and again whether in BN, PN or PH.
Again, dissolving the MRSM will be another racial issue, all back to one stream system, only secondary schools. By doing so, there would be no rich Malay in MRSM. If those rich Malay families wanted better education, they could study in the international schools, or even send overseas like our ex PM, Najib studying in a village school in the United Kingdom.
AI is catching up, do you need to have that many people to work for it. Machine is replacing the human now.
Talking classroom studies, we must also look at the population and change in the technology.
