Penang LRT, wisdom or doom Part 1

When the Minister of Transport , Anthony LOKE announced that Penang would be building Light Rail Transit (LRT), the active supporters were overjoyed and congratulated the CM (Chief Minister) as well.

The blindly supporting the project are normally unwise keyboard warriors, some of them may not be living on the Penang Island themselves.

They did not know how much problem the MRT in Singapore is facing, the problem of LRT in Kuala Lumpur too.

We have suggested to the government in 2009 about using the bus lane, more than a decade but to this date nothing was mentioned by the government. Are they listening to the voices of people?

Last year, we have another suggestion but still fell into the deaf ears too. The politicians are more happy than leaving a project which is mentioned times and again in the history book.

We do not want to talk much in this part, as the readers, if they are wise and able to analyse the problem, it is sufficient for the answer to solve the Penang problem.

Here is the video of walking of 5000 steps as a hint for you to think LRT and the walking steps too.

Penang LRT a financial albatross, Putrajaya warned

Civil society groups urge the federal government to reconsider the rail project it just agreed to fund, and scrap a massive reclamation project.
